Ontario Ministry of Labour Legal Services Online Training

The Ontario Ministry of Labour Legal Services branch has officers all over Ontario. This means they have a special challenge to train new officers and refresh training for existing officers.
The website, training videos and CD-ROM we developed allows the training to be accessed easily and with the same consistency and quality by all officers, regardless of their location.

Each course has several different types of content in order to make the training interesting and relevant.
Video content is a big feature for this website as it is able to clearly show officers how to do their job. There are several videos all of which were shot, edited and prepared for the web by Dimentians.
In order to minimize download time videos can be accessed from a CD in the trainee's computer, or the local office LAN or from the website. Whatever the video distribution method, the website figures out where to get the video source and plays the videos from there.

For each online training course, there is a set of course modules. The course home page shows you the list of modules as well as your current progress for each.

In order to ensure the training has been properly completed, there is a Quiz at the end of each module. Quiz questions must be completed and trainees must get each answer correct before proceeding to the next question.
The quiz results for each trainee are recorded and can be viewed by an administrator. The quiz and the other content on the site can also be updated in real time by an administrator.
In each section of the training, there is a series of progress bars showing your progress through the training.
