Clearing your Cache

CLEARING YOUR WEB BROWSER CACHE
Your computer stores information (web pages, images, cookies, flash, other downloaded content) when you visit a website. This stored information is called the browser’s cache.
It is a good idea to clear it regularly to protect your privacy and free up space on your computer. Each browser has there own way of clearing their cache, therefore, we will outline the steps for doing so for a few the common browsers.
INTERNET EXPLORER 8
- Make sure you are NOT on the page you want to refresh, I suggest going to www.google.com
- In you browser menu click on the Tools menu
- Click on Delete Browsing History
- Select Temporary Internet Files
- Click on Delete
- Once they are completed deleting, you can click Okay
INTERNET EXPLORER 7
- Make sure you are NOT on the page you want to refresh, I suggest going to www.google.com
- In you browser menu click on the Tools menu
- Select Internet Options
- Make sure the General tab is selected
- Under the Browsing History section click on the Delete button
- Under the Temporary Internet Files section click on the Delete files button
- Once they are completed deleting, you can click on Close, and then close all pop up windows
FIREFOX 3.5
- Make sure you are NOT on the page you want to refresh, I suggest going to www.google.com
- In you browser menu click on the Tools menu
- Click on Clear Recent History
- In the Time Range to Clear dropdown menu click Everything
- Click on Details and select only Cache
- Select Clear Now
FIREFOX 1.5 / 2.0 / 3.0
- Make sure you are NOT on the page you want to refresh, I suggest going to www.google.com
- In you browser menu click on the Tools menu
- Select Options
- Click on the Privacy tab, and then in the Private Data section click on Settings
- Select Cache and click OK
- You will then be returned to the Options menu, there you can choose to have your cache cleared automatically every time you close the browser.
- Click on Clear Now (under the Settings button)
SAFARI
- Make sure you are NOT on the page you want to refresh, I suggest going to www.google.com
- In you browser menu click on the Safari menu and select Empty Cache
- Click on the Empty button in the pop up window
